Ever wanted to learn how to make patchwork curtains? Come to this class and we'll go over the basics and get started on our curtain. Depending on the size of the curtain you'd like to make, you may not finish by the end of this class. You will leave with the tools and understanding of how to complete the curtain at home.
This class is for folks who already know how to use their sewing machine and have an understanding of how to do a straight stitch and thread their machine.
There is an option to have the naturally dyed cotton gauze scrap box included and ready for you in class. Otherwise, feel free to bring your own lightweight fabric to use for class.
We will approach sewing with an anti-perfectionist mindset and stay curious and enjoy the process of learning a new skill. If you would like to borrow a machine (I have 2 extra) please email me before class to reserve it. I will have tools on hand to borrow during class and will also be emailing a list of what you'll need to bring with.
You'll leave class with your curtain, an instructional guide and the knowledge of how to sew French seams.
Class will be held at Rosemarine Textiles studio in Hamtramck, Thursday July 3rd from 6-9pm. This class will be limited to 5 participants. If you're unable to attend, please notify me before class begins and you will receive a store credit.
