Material

The 18x18" naturally dyed indigo velvet pillow is a one off experiment with a color block sage back piece. Velvet is a blend of silk and rayon. Insert is polyester. Handmade in our Detroit studio.

The process

Each pillow is cut, dyed and sewn in our studio. We use plant dyes to achieve the color. The velvet fabric is dyed by hand in small batches. Each piece has natural color variations and a light mottling effect that add texture and an organic feel.

Shipping

We ship low waste and plastic free using recycled paper padded mailers.

Care instructions

Machine wash using warm water and pH neutral soap (we recommend ECOs, 7th Generation or similar) and hang to dry. Steam or iron using low heat.

Sustainably Crafted

We utilize sustainability conscious practices to limit water usage and fabric waste in our production. We work exclusively with plant dyes and natural fibers, both of which are compostable.
