Material

The Charcoal Yin Yang pillow features contrasting plant dyed pieces in a yin yang pattern as a reminder for peace and balance in life. We created our linen pillow collection as a zero waste mission to use up leftover plant dyed linen pieces we had on hand in the studio. Our pillows are hand made using naturally dyed and hand painted scrap fabric in our Detroit studio. Available with or without insert.

Fits an 18 x 18 inch pillow insert.

100% linen

The process

Each pillow is cut, dyed and sewn in our studio. We use the plant dyes chestnut, pomegranate rind and iron to achieve the charcoal grey and sandy beige colors. Linen pieces are dyed by hand in small batches. Each piece has natural variations and light mottling effects that add texture and an organic feel.

Shipping

We ship as plastic free and low waste as possible by using recycled paper padded mailers, and 100% recycled, 50% consumer waste made poly mailers when necessary.

Care instructions

All pillows are steamed and gently folded before sending to you. Hand wash using pH neutral soap and hang or lay flat to dry. Linen has a naturally rumpled texture, so no need to press as that is part of the beauty of the fabric.

Sustainably Crafted

We utilize sustainability conscious practices to limit water usage and fabric waste in our production. We work exclusively with plant dyes and natural fibers, both of which are compostable. Rosemarine Textiles is committed to sustainable and ethical sourcing of all fabrics, dye materials and packaging. All packaging can be reused or recycled.
