Material

Rust is a beautiful coppery burnt orange color, reminiscent of the changing leaves in autumn. Our 100% silk ribbon is available in both chiffon and habotai textures, with chiffon offering a lovely drape and translucent look, while habotai is a traditional China silk with a lustrous surface. This ribbon is shown in both habotai and chiffon.

Whether you are a bride-to-be or a florist, our rust silk ribbon is perfect for adding a touch of autumnal warmth to any project.

100% Silk

The process

Our ribbons are crafted with care in our Detroit studio. We hand tear, plant dye, and roll our ribbons onto wooden spools using 100% silk. The lightweight silk creates a beautiful drape that is perfect for wrapping bouquets, invitations, or for styling. Our ribbons come in 5 yard lengths on wooden spools and 1 yard cuttings are folded but not spooled. The plant dyes we use create deep and complex shades that subtly change with the light. Each batch of ribbon is unique, as no two ribbons will be identical in color. Our careful crafting process results in a lightly textured ribbon that adds romantic and delicate beauty to any use.

Shipping

We ship our products as plastic-free and low waste as possible, using recycled paper padded mailers, and 100% recycled, 50% consumer waste made poly mailers.

Care instructions

We steam and hand roll it onto wooden spools before shipping. If the ribbon becomes wrinkled, a hair straightener or low heat iron can be used to gently press the ribbon. If any threads come loose, carefully clip them to remove.

Sustainably Crafted

We utilize sustainability conscious practices to limit water usage and fabric waste in our production. We work exclusively with plant dyes and natural fibers, both of which are compostable.
