Material

Looking for a soft olive chartreuse green ribbon for your next project? Our Deep Chartreuse silk ribbon is the perfect choice.

Each spool is 5 yards long and made of 100% silk, hand-dyed with red onion skins to create a unique and complex color. Choose from 1" or 2" widths, and between chiffon (matte and translucent) or habotai (smooth and lustrous) texture. 1" samples are also available in a 1 yard length.


5 yd spool is available in 1" or 2" widths. 1 yd sample is available in 1" width.

Our ribbons are made using 100% silk and are hand torn, plant-dyed, and rolled onto wooden spools. All 5-yard lengths come on a wooden spool. However, 1-yard cuttings are folded but not spooled.

The process

We take pride in using sustainability-conscious practices in our production process. We limit water wastage and recycle greywater for plant watering, and work with restaurants and grocery stores to collect food waste to create this beautiful deep chartreuse from red onion skins. All plant material is composted after dyeing.

Shipping

We ship our products as plastic-free and low waste as possible, using recycled paper padded mailers, and 100% recycled, 50% consumer waste made poly mailers.

Care instructions

To keep the ribbon wrinkle-free, all ribbons are steamed and hand rolled onto wooden spools before sending to you. If it does get wrinkled, feel free to use a hair straightener or low heat iron to gently press it. If any threads come loose, simply clip them carefully to remove.

We utilize sustainability conscious practices to limit water usage and fabric waste in our production. We work exclusively with plant dyes and natural fibers, both of which are compostable.
